When he says this is not plug and play he is not kidding. there are no wires in the 06 harness for lights. and yes its wires and they work off the dimmer. it took a little thinking and some wire probing and it would have been nice to have an 08 next to me to look at but i figured it out in about 30 minutes. i honestly did not think i could make it work when i first looked at it.

If a write up is getting done, it is beyond my ability as this is not something that's easy to do. It's a lot of testing, trying, and rethinking. I witnessed it, and still can't really tell you how tech did this. It's about as far from Plug-n-play as Preschool is to a Doctorate candidate.....
There are several things that make this tricky. first you have to add wires to a plug in the truck. These wires also need ends on them just like the factory plug which means you need an extra plug to get these wires out of . I luckly had one of these in the shop that i could cut up and get the wires out of. secondly you have to know how to use a dvm to find the correct location on the plug under the dash and the sw! 3rd you have to pull the sw and on BBs truck this was easy very easy. But usually pulling SW requires a puller or atleast some knowledge of how to do it or you wind up with a broken nose.

IF this was done in the field, then a tech at Nissan could generate a service bulletin on it as well...right? Someone should put in a safety discrepancy through Nissan North America for not having had this feature in Titans since 2004. With some legal action, it could become a mandatory Recall item that Nissan would also pay to fix?
