looks good but mine slides between my seat and my center console and there is ALWAYS one in the chamber. im not takin the time to get in my console to pull it out.
I agree to an extent. I currently keep mine in between the seat and the console as well, but it is in a holster. I think it would be a faster draw to open the console and pull out the weapon vs. cramming my hand between my seat trying to grab my pistol and then to get it out of the holster.
With it mounted I would have to worry about safety as well. I have a child on the way and I don't think it is a good idea to have the pistol just sitting there. With it in the console box you can lock it when you get out of the car.
Seems like a great idea. I give the two thumbs up.
^^^oh i dont dont use a holster between my seat and console. i just set let it rest between the two. its wide open ready to pull. and i dont have children that ride with me so until then im good.
Nice. I would add some night sites though. We have G19's in our vehicles.
FWIW, I got pulled over a couple of years ago (I have a CCW) and told the cop about the gun. He said he was cool with it (concealed) since I told him about it. He had apparently not checked my CCW status which they can see on their computers in their cars.
Up here in Asheville there are cranking people through CCW classes like crazy since the election. I just picked up my renewed permit and they said applications are way up. PM me if you need to know where to take a class up here. There is a class every Saturday in Asheville. I don't know about the Hickory area?

That's not how I carry my firearm in my truck though. Colorado has an open carry law where the firearm can be out in the open in a vehicle clearly seen if not holding a CCW. So on my longer trips I just lay it ontop of all my stuff in the open center cubby (right between the console and shifter). Other than that, it stays in the holster between my body and pants
Nice mod. I would make my gun more accessible though, but still being mindful to keep it out of sight of those who would like to also have it(i.e. theft). That is why I keep it between the seat and the console. It takes more effort to open the console, and then pull the gun. In the event I ever need to pull it it is right there. Take the console out of the equation. I also live in MS, where a permit is only required if you carry a gun on person rather than in a vehicle. I have my permit anyways, for good measure, if you get an anal cop who thinks they are up to speed on all of the gun laws. That is why I also keep a copy of my state gun laws in the truck with me.

XDm .40. Easy access set at a nice angle. Used the supplied paddle holster, works great! Put mine in a couple months ago. Gotta love living in a state that has Concealed permits.

Definitely not legal in Cali. Concealed carry needs a license here that is relatively difficult to get, and a serious felony getting caught without the license and a concealed gun.
Just thought I would chime in...
It can be both difficult and easy to get a CCP in california. It all depends on the county you are in. I know in my county and the surrounding counties where my father teaches CCP classes, it is not difficult. All you need is a 4-6 hour class and then a shooting test consisting of 50 rounds. Then you get your permit after paying however much the state charges you and the instructor charges.
