Where to put amps in Crew Cab

I have a 2004 crew cab and I was wondering where you put your amps? I have a 2000 watt mono amp so its pretty big. Please tell me or post a picture where your are at.

I have had them under the drivers seat and on the back wall behind the seat. the wall was the best place IMO

Re: Where to put amps in Crew Cab

2004 does not have the electric window slider on the backwall so there is alot of room to mount amps.

Audio Install (3 amps, Changer, HU, Matrix, Comps, Subs, PacSWIX, Optima, Sirius)

Re: Where to put amps in Crew Cab

If you have it under the front seats wont the amps over heat from the ac/heater vents rigjt by the amp. The reason why i dont have it behind the rear seat ia because its to hard to get to if you need to adjuat anything. Do you have a pic of your setup

it's harder to adjust the amp under my seat then on the back wall because you have to pull it out because there is no room to work under there. IMO backwall is the best

The back wall seems easiest. My 250watt JL monoblock is under the drivers seat and it's pretty small so it works just fine there. But if i had that 2000watt giant it'd go on the back wall.

that 2000 watt one probably wont even fit and if it does it's going to be TIGHT

Re: Where to put amps in Crew Cab

There is a lot of room in the '04s, just make sure it's not too deep (stick out from the wall), there is tight clearance at the bottom by the seat brackets. This was in my '04.

You can make an amp mounting board pretty easily, here's a link to my install thread.
