I'm installing headrest DVD players and I want to put the wiring under the center console. I plan to tie-in to the rear cigarette lighter for power. I found 2 screws in the bottom of the console and 1 on each side. Are these all I need to remove, or do I have to remove the shifter knob and the plasti-wood trim? I appreciate any help.
Welcome to TT. Sorry, I don't know jack about wiring, but you might want to try cruising the audio/visual section and use the search if nobody else chimes in. Cheers!

The Following User Says Thank You to Quartz For This Useful Post:
You will need to remove your shift knob. It just twists off.
You will also need to remove the shift console - it is what surrounds the shifter.
To totally remove the center console, there is a screw on each side of the front where it is under the heater control panel. You will need to get those as well.

Thanks for all the help guys. Quartz, the diagrams are great. BB, maybe some day I'll have the nerve to tear into my interior like you did, but for now I'll live with the RF.
