The Needles can be taken off and on, by hand. No special tool is needed. Search for threads dealing with the "Speedhut" deal, when Speedhut introduced Titan gauges. A bunch of us were talking about installs for quite awhile. An excellent, fully illustrated write up was done. it is fairly easy. A few connectors to unplug, a few screws, and a slightly tight fitting twist of the dash assembly, and almost anyone can do it there self.

Thanks so much for that TitanBlue!!! I was getting worried about the needle removal tool. I had heard we didn't need the tool to remove the needle also. We just couldn't call NuImage right now since it is the weekend
If I remember right, the original thread said something like a needle removal tool and some gloves? It's been a while but it was something like that.
That's correct. According to my conversation with Frank the gauges should have included gloves and a needle removal tool. Frank did mention that it doesn't work as well as a small screwdriver but agreed to include the tool anyway.
I heard from O-fivecc that you knew the tool would not be included from talking to Frank. Not sure why you elected to PM him and not me with this information/concern. I asked everyone to share any info with the group and contact me with any questions. Not sure were the disconnect was, but I didn't get this info until very late Friday night from O-fivecc. Too late to follow up and do anything. I may have been able to get some clarity for the group and give everyone a heads up on the change. That way no one would have been disappointed.

I'm glad that GB turned out so good
Apparently not enough. I truly hope no one is disappointed. I know in the grand scheme of things the gloves and plastic needle removal tool aren't a big deal. Both items aren't needed for a successful gauge install, but that's not the point...
I haven't read oyu whole post yet Gary, but I did read the part where you replied to me. You did plenty, if anyone needs the gloves I will personally send some myself, that is not a joke, I'm being honest. Also, it's not your fault if he told you they were going to be in there and their not. He could have told us they wouldn't be in there from the begining. You did plenty, I guarantee you, every single person will be very happy with these once installed. When we do our install, we can show detailed pics of how we got the needle off. You did plenty Gary, you can't control what NuImage does.
Gary, I think Arachnid is worried more about getting these installed correctly. I could be wrong, maybe he's just mad that the shipment didn't include the parts. But I know he is concerned about the install, and is probably just worried about that. Once we all see these staring at us everytime we get in the truck, we will be smiling. If you'll notice, USSpeedo Gauge overlay is well over $200

Your right he could have contacted me. I also could have followed up with him to make sure we were getting what we agreed upon. Instead, this little hiccup will now be a distraction from an other wise successful GB. As you know, not really how I like to do things...
No worries guys. When I talked with Frank while I was paying him on the phone he said that a tool wasn't included, but that he would get with you about it. Didn't think about it much after that. And as far as posting a question about that in here, don't make such a big deal out of it. They gauge face looks great, that is what counts. Looking forward to getting mine installed.
Why should you follow up with him. I know you are in the business field, but when a man gives oyu his word, it should be his word. He told you it would be included, and that's all we needed to know about that. HE HICCUPED not you lol. It's not your fault. Now, Maybe you can come over next weekend and help install them?

Those gauges look awesome guys. I have the Nu Image on my truck. Just a heads up for the install..... be very careful with the mesh parts, especially on the edges, they bend easily and a crease will created and you cannot get them out. I have a couple on the left side of mine. Not that visible but they are there. Take your time with the it and they will look awesome!

Thanks TB. I actually have that thread on TS bookmarked. You don't really "Need" the tool but it feels like you got a little extra value with the plastic tool. It basically looks like a very small 2 prong fork. LOL Speedhut is supposed to include one in their kit. Was that not the case?
But, good to know the Titan's needles aren't fragile and they can just be pulled off by hand. How long did it take you to do the install? Do you have a column shifter or floor? I remember reading that the column shifter gets in the way of the gauge cluster.

As long as you're fine then I am too. I saw that you questioned Jeremy on what was included and didn't want anyone to feel like they were mislead. If you haven't already figured it out, I'm very meticulous. Remember the email about the red "O". I think Frank thought I was nuts! We would have gotten the gauges sooner if I wasn't so OCD about them. LOL Just wanted to make sure we got a quality product. Yes, the gauges look fantastic and NuImage was a pleasure to work with. The other 2 companies I contacted not so much...

I think he said that a small screwdriver worked just fine, so that is what I will use. Are the directions that come with it complete, or should I be looking somewhere else for instructions?
I think Firelife is installing his tomorrow, hopefully he'll give us a heads up. <Maybe someone did an install write up from the gauges GB TitanBlue did a year or so ago
hopefully mine will reach me by tuesday, cant wait. big thanks to gary and five for organizing, and thanks to the rest of you for following through. cant wait to see some installed pics.
