Re: Cut the Door Open Alarm?

took a look at it and theres no need to take anything apart. the plug is just underneath the ignition switch. its a white plug with two wires on each side one wire is black with a red strip and the other is orange with a red strip. just unplug it and the buzzer turns off.

Re: Cut the Door Open Alarm?

Does this affect anything else? Entry lights perhaps?

Oh, those with the AMP Powersteps may want to skip this mod...

Re: Cut the Door Open Alarm?

No... Not likely.... I'm old... Sometimes I drive down the highway with all my doors wide open and don't even realize it.. The audible warning is the only way I can even tell...

Damn! I was hoping for one of your write ups with pictures, graphs, charts, and and an instructional video.

I did that for the "If you're from Joisey, and don't know your vehicle came with turn-signals preinstalled...." thread. Watch for it at your local theater.

Re: Cut the Door Open Alarm?

Simple Fix no need to cut any wires and all you need is a phillips screw driver, Open your door, look for a rubber push button switch with a single screw holding it in.
Step 1 remove screw.
Step 2 unplug switch.
step 3 put switch and screw back in.

Open you're door put key in the ignition and enjoy the silence

But won't that disable the interior lights?

Yes, I only did it to the front doors. If you grab (just pop it and close it) the handle for the back doors the lights still works normally
