Exclamation Has anyone dyed their upholstery ?

i'm just lookin for a cheap alternative. i can't stand the greenish trim on the seats and doors. i think some fabric dye will work fine, for now. has anyone tried this ???

i found a website that offers auto upholstery dye. it runs about $10.00 bottle.
it's a squirt like bottle. you just squirt on acouple of coats & let dry. presto, makeover complete.

Re: Has anyone dyed their upholstery ?

I recall reading a thread about some one tattooing their seats, but as far as dying i haven't seen much.

some guys have full interiors but i believe it's all custom.

some have opted for seat covers but they can be pricey.

yea exactly. there's nothing wrong with my interior, just the trim color i can't stand and i don't want to pay for a full replacment cover. squirt the trim and i'll be happy.

Subscribing. I hate the color/appearance of my seats. I had Black/Silver Wet Okoele seat covers for a few months and got used to them. I recently sold them for some performance money and now notice how ugly my seats are even more. If this turns out well, for $10 I'm def. down

Re: Has anyone dyed their upholstery ?

have you tried a junkyard to see if you can pull an interior from a wrecked truck?

it's a lot more work then just painting but might be worth it in the long run.

i'd really love to have a black interior in my truck... i don't know if you've seen the 04 color combo but it's something to be desired. people compliment me on it though and ask it's custom (i'd like to think i have better taste )
