Installing a power outlet

Hey Guys,
So I recently installed a Cobra CPI 1575 power inverter under my passenger seat. What I would like to do next is get some power outlets to mount in the dash. the idea would be to run an extension cord from the inverter to the outlets in the dash and have them hardwired to the extension cord. (As is, it is a pain in the butt to reach over and plug anything into the power inverter).

I know some cars are coming standard with 110v power outlets in them, so my idea is to get the parts from one of these cars and surface mount it in my dash and or center counsel, to make a clean looking install. I know the ford escape hybrids come with a power outlet, (see the bottom left picture here: 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid Photos | The Official Site of the 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid | FordVehicles.com).

I want to figure out the part number for these outlets and get a hold of a couple of them.

Has anyone done anything like this? If so, what kind of outlets did you use?

Thanks!

5X Panel Mount 125V 15A AC Power Receptacle Outlet #110 - eBay (item 260418359460 end time Oct-24-09 13:36:48 PDT)

There's an idea I found by Googling 'panel mount ac receptacle'. Might even be able to find something like this at your local electrical store (maybe not a box store, have to try harder than that).
Anyway, be very careful putting AC under your dash anyplace. 115 AC and the 12 DC in your car don't play nice together.

Re: Installing a power outlet

Toyota has a single 110 Volt AC Outlet, like the Tow hitch ones, with a Flip Cover, that they mount it the bed of the truck. Likely made by Bargman, an RV plug supplier. It looks just like the 12 Volt Bed Outlet Nissan uses.

I'm using a 2x4 box and flip cover from Lowes. All plastic, Gray color to blend in somewhat. I'm going to put it in the bottom right of teh center dash, and another in the Bed or rear bumper.
