Hey everyone I did the tint on my tail lights I was talking about doing.. Here are some pics. They look darker the further away you get. Overall I like them and it was an easy and inexpensive mod! Let me know what ya think.
I think the trick with vinyl is to put it on VERY wet with a nice slick soapy water combo. That way you can manipulate it easier without causing creases or bubbles similar to the way you apply window tint. OP, any tips on how you did it?

Looks good..!! For anyone else who plans on doing this I recommend laying them out in the sun for a few minutes then using a hair dryer when applying them. Make sure you use a spray bottle with a few drops of baby shampoo and water mixture as lubrication. Make sure your hands are clean and the surface of the lights are clean and wax free. Before even grabbing the the film, spray down your hands with the water mixture so it doesn't stick to your hands and leave finger prints. You may have to use the hair dryer to heat up the film and stretch it when applying it. Make sure you squeegee out as much water and air bubbles as possible, just light window tinting. Make sure the surface of the film is lubricated when squeegeeing to prevent scrathing or marring the film surface. When done park the truck in direct sunlight so the glue can cure and the water evaporate. It might take a couple days for the small air bubbles to clear, park your truck in the sun as much as possible for the next couple days. It may be necessary to use painters masking tape on some corners or curves to hold the film down during the cure process as well. And don't was your truck for at least a couple days, depending on weather conditions. The Titan tail lights are pretty easy since they don't have odd curves or bulges on the surface.
