Fire N Ice LED Bar question

A few fellow TT members have installed some FnI bars on their trucks, but I'm wondering how much, if any the "ICE" works to help see while backing?

I am looking at adding some type of LED bar(s) to my T, but why waste the $$ on the "ice" if it doesn't help being tucked away?

I've seen the add-on's for the mudflaps, fire n ice, maybe that's the way to go....

Re: Fire N Ice LED Bar question

I have the F & I light bar w/ clear back up LEDs, but I have yet to install the bar. I've read that the B/U LED's with the Titan's brake lights at night that the rear illumination looks pink in color. I don't know, but it does make sense. Maybe if you did a search on this subject, you'll find all you need. I'd like some feedback if you find anything meaningful...

Re: Fire N Ice LED Bar question

Z, a search brings up a few posts, a few of our same question, but no real answers. Seems like no one wants to pony up whether the white LEDs help when backing....

Pink is to be expected when you combine the red and white LEDs, not a big deal for me. Mainly trying to cover 2 concerns with one item, better indication of me braking/turning and better light when backing. Would rather not have to install multiple items if I don't have to....

Thanks

Re: Fire N Ice LED Bar question

you need to use relays to get the white lights to come on when your in reverse. i post a thread on how to do this

Re: Fire N Ice LED Bar question

Installed a version on my truck. The Reverse LEDs on mine are clear white. If you foot is on the brake then both the Red Brake and Clear Reverse LEDs are lit at the same time.

Inside the truck I've only noticed a little more light in Reverse, but I've had others, behind me, comment on how bright the Reverse LEDs are.

I didn't have any Relays on mine to install just one wire to splice in on each side for Reverse.

LED Bars

Re: Fire N Ice LED Bar question

You don't need any relays, the relay is use only if you want the "white" only in reverse as opposed to white with red which = pink.
