Question Tonneau Cover in Hawaii?

I have been scouring the internet and this forum trying to find the best bed cover for the best price. Has anybody over here bought one yet? Im just curious wether or not there is anyplace on Oahu that sells bedcovers at a reasonable price. I would prefer the roll up kine.
I was quoted a "deal" on an Extang RT for 600 , with a 3 week wait for shipping. I thought that the Extang doesnt work with the Titan. Any way, Im just curious if anyone has any sugestions. As soon as you mention shiping to Hawaii, the deal changes.

Thank you for the response. I bought the truck in Oceanside and shipped it here. My zip is 96706. I need a cover and Ive pretty much decided on a roll up(truxedo lp) so my dog can stick his head in the rear window when he rides with us.(wife wont let him inside)

I have no issues with Windward Nissan, just that they're on the other side of the island. I am willing to deal, and also I hope this can help some of the other Hawaiian Titan owners.

Shipping would be about $45.00 for the truxedo lo-pro. The tonneau cover is $395.65.

Another parts question from Hawaii

I'm trying to get the UtiliTrac tool box but live in Hawaii. A local dealer quoted me the price of the box (around $400 which looks ok) but then wants to charge me another $375+ for shipping. Looking to get the chrome bully bar as well but don't want to pay such a huge premium for shipping. Any ideas? Thanks

The Westin Bull Bar is $480.00 and hipping would be $75.00. ILet me look into a shipping price for the Sliding Tool Box.

I called Jamie up yesterday and ordered the Truxedo for the price quoted above. Should be here next week. The unit that you are looking at must be heavy to be that much. otherwise???

Glad you got something worked out w/Jamie. I tried getting that cover but way earlier in the year in January 04' and according to what I was told by the manufacturer they were not ready at the time to release for the Titan I could not wait and got one custom made at Fred's Top Shop in Kalihi. They did a great job I got it for $350.00 total. Anyway your cover should look real good on your truck. Truxedo makes some nice covers.

I hope so, I' basing my decision on what I have seen here on the forum. My friend has an access and I like the concept. Im getting tired of transfering stuff from the bed to the back seat. Luckily there is plenty of room back there.

I just got a Access (because the dealer is right up the road ) and I love the look and the ease of opening it.

RE: Cover for your Titan

I myself was also searching for my Titan crew cab 4 door LE and I've been leaning towards the "Retrax" brand according to the rep, their product will fit and work on the Titan 4 door crew cab LE. Is yours the same ? I've also found other brand-Pace Edwards which according to them will work on our Titan, but I'm still debating on their prices coz they are quite a bit expensive. Retrax cost around $829.00 while Pace edwards-comes with a remote controlled attached to your keychain that you can remotely slide it and lock it but cost around 1,000+. Hope my info help.....

From what Ive heard, the retractables require the removal of the upper rails of the utila track. I went with the Truxedo mostly cause of price and ease of removal. Shipping anything bigger would have hurt bad. My friend had a retractable in his dodge and It took up to much space in the front of the bed.

I am 66 years old and my Titan is my first truck.I purchased a Truxedo from TruckXpressions on the internet for about $390. I thanked God it fits perfect and was easy and quick to install in this hot Florida sun.
