They look very similar to the non-spring nuts, so... yeah they should work.

Heres my set up. I allready had the cross bar and mounts. I'm now working on the yakima front wheel holders. I finally chose this location for the ease of loading and removing of the bikes. Comes in handy for my heavy freeride bike. I'm also using the bungee cord front wheel holder.(for now) And the bike fits in my CC with the front wheel off w/no problem. (with seats up)

scotts...that's a great idea with the roundbar!

I've ordered the spring nuts from:
Do it Best

They should work with the Yak Block heads.

I noticed Yak has another item called BEDHEAD that may work with the TITAN. It just clamps to the edge of the bed. I don't think it'll work with a tonneau cover installed, however.

Ouch!! $50 per BedHead! I paid that for two RockyMounts to be shipped to my house, plus $10 for nuts and bolts. But I guess if ya don't have the utility track that's one way to go. Personally, I'd buy a 2x4 or 2x6 and bolt some mounts to that. Worked great inthe Xterra I had.

I had a set of those layin' around and tried em' ...they dont fit with the utility bed rails.. also the round bar on my set up is a Yakima cross bar. I'm going to work on the front wheel mounts today after work. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Anyone know if these RockyMounts will work the same as the YAK Blockhead in the Utili-trac rail with the spring nuts? (I never heard of Rocky until you posted about it) Wonder what size those mounting holes are?

I can tell ya they take 1/4" bolts to bolt them onto the cone nuts. Those are the exact ones I jsut got in the mail the other day. They are even the red ones. Non-locking but can add locks later on if so choose.

All these ideas are great. I'm just wondering why single riders don't just throw their bikes into the bed...laying down. I've been doing this for more years than I care to admit to. I've been able to throw two bikes in bed with some minor arranging. The only problem I found was the handle bar grips would get severely rubbed from the interaction with the bed flooring. I made a simple sleeve to go over the grips. If anyone wants to know the material I used for the protective sleeve....empty toilet paper roll, covered with duct tape. Hey, I'm from South Carolina...duct tape fixes everything. Still, being a computer geek, like your higher tech versions and the prospect of getting my tools out.

Depending on what type of bike someone rides that might be fine. With the bike laying down, its gonna slide around from time to time And if someone spent $2000 to $4000+ on a bike (especially a road bike), "throwing" it in the bed is gonna be a last resort. I aint about to throw my bike in the bed of my truck, I beat on it enough on the trail. But thats just my 2cents.
Just ride

Throw them in the bed??? No way.

I've got brand new Trek bikes, and don't want them all beat up. I also don't want to scratch the heck out of the bedliner if I don't have to. These bike racks are cheap, easy, and will prevent the problems...as well as give some security. I'm grateful for the ideas. Thanks!

The cone nuts fit perfect. Mounted the Rockies the day after they showed up in the mail. The white cone part actually ends up as a little buffer between the trac itself and the mount. Now the trac and mount wont rub each other. Actually just had the Yeti up on them today. Bolt wise I used 1/4" by 1 inch long bolts.
