OEM - Fog Light Kit

Has anyone bought & installed the fog light kit offered by Nissan.

I was curious if the kit uncludes the turnsignal stalk switch.

What's required to R&R the signal stalk, e.g., disassembly of steering wheel, wiring, etc.?

All you have to do is take a couple of screws out of the colum cover. Then you can disconnect the blinker switch very easy. Every thing about that is a piece of cake. I was glad the the light assembly in the front was already pre-wired, that made my day!

The Nissan book time for installation is .3hrs, so it can't be difficult at all.

Doesn't look that bad at all. I'll let you all know in a week or two, but with factory wiring, factory hole in the bumper and a factory switch, it's all plug and play, sans a few bolts, etc

I've read all the install sheets. Why would they bill you for 203 hours? Oh, because they can!!!

I'd try it and look over every area where you have to install, or just wait until I do it, I document everything... here's an example:

one of THE first coilover installs in an rx8 I also had this published in a rotary magazine with my permission of course

I paid $169.15 (no sales tax in NH) at the dealer. Kit is two lights and a replacement turn signal switch. Took about 20 minutes to install. Wiring & plugs are already there. The rest of the 3 hours must be for the dealer to wash and wax your truck.

anyone considering having a dealer do this is nuts. You literally press the lights into the fog light hole, throw a nut on each, then pop two screws out of the steering column, pull out the old turn signal stalk, pop in the new one, replace the screws, and you are DONE.

Anyone in MA/NH area needing help drop a line, I'll do it for you. Its really that easy.

Just got home with my new Silver CC LE 4x4. I want the Fog lights to stay on even when the main light switch is off or on high beams. Could someone post the instruction for the installation of the Fog Lights? This would help me determine which wire of the plug I need to route to a Switched Power source.

Thanks for the replies

Well, after taking more time to read threads from months back, and reading the replies from this thread all seems I would likely buy this kit and install myself.

Thanks all for your input.

When you call the dealers, talk to the parts department and ask them for the book time for install. They are the ones that know the book time and relay that to the service department!
