Not a line=x dealer but it's tough as hell. Throw sharpened shovels and digging bars in the back of the T100 for 4 years and not a scratch. Will be doing the Titan in another week or two. Worth every penny. A buddy had Rhino-lining.......repaired twice in 5 years. Know nothing of the others.
Who has the current contract to spray inside military submarines? Who is currently spraying inside the United States Pentagon? Out of 23 spray liners tested by the Air Force in 2001, which was the ONLY one to pass all of their tests? In the beginning of 2004, Congressman Christopher Cox from California wrote a letter to Donald Rumsfeld and to Colin Powell recommending which brand of coating be used by the military in Iraq?
No, not Rhino, not Toff, not Speedliner, not Superliner, not Armaguard, not Ultimate Linings, not Herculiner, not Duplicolor, not Durabak, not Gatorback, not Reflex, not Permatech.
Hey Titangasm, I thought the correct answer would be Nissan Peel & Blister Brand Spray Liner.
Can you spray Line-X over the Nissan factory spray liner and get a good result? Is this compatible with the utilitracks? If not, can the factory spray in liner be removed prior to spray in of Line-X? Would that be compatible with the utilitracks? How much would that cost?
I saw the other thread in the General Discussion. I would not spray over the factory liner. The good news is that the bed is not well prepared and the factory liner comes up fairly easily. Cost will vary from dealer to dealer. No problem with the utilitracks.
I think what is a shame is that owner's that want to replace the factory spray liner really lose financially.
Is there something that I am missing?
Dealer gets the money for the option.
Buyer pays to have the liner removed.
Buyer pays to have a better liner sprayed.
I would like to hear anyone's experiences during the purchase negotiations if they said don't include the liner price in my purchase. Anyone done this or confronted the dealer on the poor quality sprayed liner?
I put herculiner in my frontier and it was very tough stuff. I was lazy this time and had my titan sprayed in by one of the dealers aftermarket poeple and i can already tell the spray in is not going to hold up as well. I will say this, after some time the hurculiner fades badly but they have something on their website now that is supposed to keep it from fading. The nonskid properties were also better with hurculiner.
Agreed, mick3643. And if you read their site they say that it will fade a little. You can use something like armor all if you want it looking better than new. But that attracts dust. Mine faded a little, I guess (more like got dirty), but most will never look as good as new after use.
Compared with any liner I've seen, Herculiner definatly had the best anti-skid surface. And it was as tough as nails for me and many others. Submarine "proven" or not. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.
Search the jeep forums. Those guys use it for their entire truck. And love it.
I have the spray in liner that came with my Titan. The dealer will have the truck on Tuesday to repair the liner, as there are multiple issues with there having been scrapes and even a "patch hole". The liner does though look a little less impressive than the aftermarket one I had on my 2002 Tundra. I carried alot of stuff back there and when I traded it in on the Titan, it still looked brand new, after having been installed 2 years prior. I'm hoping that the dealer will go ahead and have a second coat applied to resolve the issues I came across after taking delivery (not to mention the hail damage on the hood LOL). Otherwise, great truck!

The answer is LINE-X brand sprays.
um, that would be because chris cox represents parts of the OC, including santa ana, where line-x is based!
I have to say that I am more than pleased with my Rhino. I've thrown so much crap back there and made so many trips to the dump. Wood, concrete, nails, metal - everything. I got the liner for $300. LineX wanted $425. I also have heard from several sources that Line X fades VERY fast.

Not true. I had Line-X on a 2002 Tundra. Looked as good as day one two years later when I sold the truck.
decypher44: In 3 to 6 months, your Rhino (Tuff Stuff) will fade to a dull, light gray and will begin showing water stains. Then, you're gonna be mad and go back to the Rhino dealer. He will tell you that he will put some RhinoShine on it for you for some $$$. You will give him a piece of your mind and then he will agree to do it for free. You will be happy until the RhinoShine begins to flake off. You will remember you read this information here, first. You will wonder if perhaps you should have spent a little more and had LINE-X instead.
