Truxedo Lo-Pro Cover

Just an FYI for those of you that are looking at covers. I just had one put on yesterday. It was at my local offroad center and he and i were on the phone for an hour. Here is the issue. I have the utilitrac system in my truck and he went to install it and all of the sudden, we discovered that the accessories in the bed (bed divider & bed extneder) had to be removed unless i just wanted the bed divider to stop about 24" from the cab and could only slide the extender in about 18" because the brackets (which are one hell of a design) are in the track. So what we did, tood the diveder out completely and removed the bracket that blocks the bed extender from going all of the way out. Installed all of the truxedo cover brackets and the ones that are at the end of the bed are now the end caps. The bed extender will not flip over the rails, about 2" of reveal does not allow this. You can install the supports for the bed extender all of the way at the end and manipulate the bed extender in. The only problem with this is that the bed extender, when not in use, sits in the bed loose. We need someone to figure a way out, withouot going to a hard cover or flip up cover, to let us keep all of the accessories in the track. Any thoughts? Please don't kill me if this was talked about. By the way, the cover looks great.

I have the same cover. Deepwater originally solved the problem by replacing the back (cloese to the tailgate) brackets with self tapping screws. I did this also and it seems to work. You can slide the bed extender all the way to the front of the bed and if you need to turn it to use it on the tailgate, you slide the brackets right out, flip it, then slide the brackets back in. We have the CC and don't need the middle brackets.

Did Deepwater put the self tappers through the lip of the Truxedo Cover and through the 3/4" flange that is on the lip of the bed rail? Also, why do we not need the center brackets? Is it because the bed is short enough and only needs 2 supports? Please let me know! Thanks!

I did the same thing as deepwater. I just replaced all but the front clamp with screws so there is no interference. Works fine and you will get over the few small holes you have to make for the screws.

Yes the screw did go through the lip. He used waxed screws to stop rust. I couldn't find them so I used plain self-tapping. Because the bed is shorter in the CC, it doesn't need the support of the centre clamps. I put a screw there anyway for good measure!

Put this on myself last weekend. Very happy with it. Thanks to Deepwater for the tips on how to install so the sliding extender will work.
