My thoughts are on a hitch mounted winch - I assume one would be available. I just finished installing an auxilliary battery/isolater in my bed tool-box. This was installed with the winch, off-roading & camping in mind. It won't be too long before I pick one up and get it installed... I'll keep you posted.

Yes we do have plans for a front winch bumper for the Titan. Pictures will be added to the website once the bumper enters into production. Please call the sales office if you have any other questions. Thank you for your interest in the CALMINI Nissan line. Awaiting your call.

I was thinking about the winch for my titan, but never had one before on my cars. Do you have to have an auxilliary battery in order to operate the winch?
Couldn't you just leave your truck running as you operate the winch? Presumably you would be using the winch to pull yourself out of being stuck (which I could have used in the Ocala National Forest last week) so you would have your truck on and be in low gear as the winch was pulling you out. This is all just my guess, I've never used a winch before.

Yes, you leave your truck running when operating the winch. I guess the exception would be if you flooded it so deep in a river you couldn't start the engine, but I think you are going to be in big trouble if you are in that deep. You do not need to assist the vehicle with low gear when operating the winch. In fact, if you get traction you will slack the winch cable, so I think it is better to just leave the vehicle being pulled in neutral. If you are pulling somebody else out of a ditch, that also decreases the chances of having them ram you. A good winch will pull the truck into a tree if you find a strong tree. Also, by using a pulley, you can further increase the mechanical advantage by chaining the pulley (a/k/a snatch block) to a tree, running the winch cable through the pulley and then back to your vehicle.
Here's a link to the winch mount brush guard I installed on my truck. Since them, I've changed the winch to a Warn, 9.5Ti due to a manufacturers defect in my Mile Marker winch. MM was nice about it and gave me a full refund.
