Motorcycle Chock for Utilitrack

Just received an email from CCR Sport that their motorcycle chock is now available. To me, it looks like it's better suited for dirt bikes than road bikes, but otherwise seems it would work well.

Price is $16.95

I got the same impression, tool

I just test fitted two sport bikes into my CC. The stock track system is just amazing! One tie down in the middle, and then two on bed sides. The stock ribbing on the bed actually holds the tires in place fairly well!

I forgot to get some pics, but I'll have to two at least 4 bikes up to the track in September (2 on an open trailer, 2 in the bed).

I would be very interested in some pics. Also, what ramps did you use to load the bikes? I imagine with the height of our trucks I'll need some fairly long ones?

Thanks.

My driveway is on a steep incline. Helps a lot. But we loaded a seca in the back the other day, and 3 people pushed it right up a regular sized ramp, and it was pretty steep!

I have two of the CCR Sport chocks. They work really well for two bikes (motocross). The fit/finish is really good. I'm quite happy with them.

I use a folding ramp I got on ebay from discountramps

I've had success just using the ribs in the floor of the bed and using the stock tie-downs at the lower front of the bed (don't have the utilitrak). I also got a ramp from discountramps.com. I load the bike by myself, so these ramps are perfect.

That is a very smart idea. It makes sense for the aftermarket to start producing items that are specifically designed to work with the utilitrac system. There's a viable cash crop.

For sport/track/race bike I think the lower stock tie down points would work better. Are you loading one or two?

Speaking of... does anyone know if the Titan's beds are any different if you do or dont have the utilitrack and whatever? Sorry i forget the name of the bed I wish the ribs or whatever in my truck were spaced a bit differently - like where the utilitracks are in the bed were each about 4 inches closer to the side.

Which size ramp did you get and how does it work. My old ramp is not great for the Titan and I need to look for a new ramp.

I got the 10' MF-12038 (The "Big Boy") in the link above. It works great. There are 3 seperate ramps that each fold directly in the middle. The only thing that could be a problem is loading the ramps on the truck with the bike and everything else you need for the track. Since the ramps have a bow in them, they tend to teeter-totter when stacked.
Just like most ramps, when the ramp is in place, there are straps to hold it to the bumper or hitch to keep it from sliding off the bed. The straps also work well to hold the ramp together when folded.
Another good thing is that you can seperate the ramps for loading 4-wheelers or lawn tractors.

Surf the site some and you'll find a ramp for every need.

check the link i posted up there...that ramp works perfect for me.

I load a bike by myself in my driveway with it using a stand next to the ramp. I just walk the bike up using the bike stand as a step - a cooler or similar would work just as well probably.
