I'm not sure yet, i mean i was planning on selling it but might try craigslist first cause i dont think i have a box big enough for it.. But i will keep you in mind and try and find a box for it.
Thanks! I could really use one. That is the only thing in my truck that seems to have aged ( I always have my elbow on it). I will be more aware next time.
Curious how the shifter works. I see 1st and 2nd are in the same slot. How does it work with just a cable being used? Do the gear indicators light up on the dash and on the console itself?Looks like I'm going to definitively do this. May need to get someone to wire it though.
The members that have got the shifter to work loose the manual shift capability. The column shift TCM will not work with the manual detents on the shifter.

I couldn't figure it out yesterday. Couldn't really get the shifter cable to fit nicely and drive wouldn't work. I didn't hook any wires up but from what I heard from a couple guys, the wires are only for the manual mode and they said they just zip tied the brake release lever down which is what I was thinking of doing until I found myself in the middle of the street with no drive gear. So I had to drive around in reverse back into my driveway.
I still love the center console and want to keep it so I am thinking of doing something a little custom. Gonna take out the shifter console and mount a small sub (8 if it will fit or a 6.5) then I will fabricate something to cover the big hole where the shifter was and use it as where I'll have more phone or iPod for the stereo

Did you use your original cable or buy a different one? Do you find that the console is lower then you original and is it uncomfortable to rest your arm on?
Sure would be nice if someone who has got it right would chime in. I'm thinking of saying the hell with it. I would want the shifter to work.
Maybe you should try a cable from the dealer that is used for the console. It's probably shorter and easier to route. Do the dash gear indicators light up without hooking up the wires?
Have not looked down there but you say"It would be impossible to swap out cables" what happens if we brake a cable? How is it,that the gears light up on the dash if you have hooked up no wires. Sorry I'm confused.
I don't know why the gears were lighting up. You could probably see if a dealership or shop can do it but I mean there is seriously like no room down there to work with. Let me know if you figure something out. I know somebody has actually traded out cables before

Any of you guys get any success out of this? I know a few of you had PM'ed me on this and I apologize for the poor communication. I did my swap over a year ago and it still works great. I know there is a way to wire up the manual mode there has to be but I just pretty much lost interest once I did the swap and had my P R N D work. I have noticed that I can get 3rd gear to work when I pull the shifter all the way back, its weird. lol
