Removal of stake pocket covers???

Does anyone know how the stake pocket plug/insert/covers are removed? The parts guys told me that they just snap out but it does not look that way. It looks as if they are molded as part of the same plastic piece as the edge of the bed. I bought some Bull Ring retractable anchors and the hardest part of the install appears to be the removal of the plastic plugs. Help!!!!

Mine are made to pop out, I'm assuming all Titan bed rail caps are the same hard plastic with the cut outs for the stake pockets. Mine popped out with a little persuasion from a plastic wedge tool (like a hard plastic flat head screwdriver) that I used to prevent marring of the plastic.

hmm.. mine even slide back and forth just a bit, and after the first popping out are now easier. Each trip to the desert I have taken one of the rear ones out to hold a safety flag (whip) and put it back in afterwards.

ahh, I feel like the wierd kid at school whose mom didn't put Kraft Singles cheese in his sandwich. If yours are solid, ignore mine, just get a very sharp razor knife and cut them out.

my build date was 01/04

Thanks all, got it.

That's interesting why some of ours are actual popout plugs and others are molded look-like plugs. I wonder why the difference? I got out the drill and drilled a hole in all four corners and then took the jigsaw and cut my straight lines between holes. The drivers side worked great but the passenger side had been welded so that there was no room for the bracket to slide into on one of the lips (if you have installed these bull rings, you know what I am talking about). Oh well, live and learn. They aren't as strong as they could be but that's okay for what I will be using them for. Thanks all for the input.
