Ordered Hawk Pads...

my rotors seem to be really warped though and i'm pretty hard on my brakes... i'm planning on getting them turned but if i remember i already did and they said they couldn't do it again. Would really like the slotted rotors but i can't pay that much right now, what are some good replacements? Are these Hawk HPS's worth it... i'm hoping they are with the price tag that was on them

Re: Ordered Hawk Pads...

I've been pretty happy with the premium rotors from Napa that I got. They aren't slotted though.

Re: Ordered Hawk Pads...

I've got Hawk LTS brake pads and PowerSlot cryo rotors.

80,000 on the first set of brake pads that I finally replaced.

I'm happy with the set up.

Re: Ordered Hawk Pads...

I like the Hawk HPS pads. They do need heated up first to grip hard. There are cold mornings when I go down my hill and they feel like there is no brake, then they heat up and grip hard. had them on for 2 years. no issues other than that.

I use the Powerslot rotors. not Cryo. They work fine and I live in South west PA. all we have is Hills, they are heated good. I have not looked at the rotors on wear yet, but the slots are still there. so the pads dont eat the rotors.

I have used EBC on the cars. the rotors were worn in 1 year. The pads were too agressive or the rotor was soft. dont get those!
