Info On Titan Headlight Upgrade

For anyone interested, the following link provides information on Sylvania Silverstar Halogen headlights: http://www.sylvania.com/auto/silverstar.htm I installed mine today and the difference is quite noticable. I did the low beams (9006ST) and left the hi beams (9005ST) alone. It was a bit labor intensive but well worth the effort. The grill and lights are back together. Be careful because other bulbs out there are known to melt the wiring harnass!

XE, Thanks for the info! Taking off the grill is a pain. The service manual says to replace bulbs via the fender well, but I couldn't figure out how, so removed the grill like it sounds like you did. Was any readjustment needed? When I replace mine, seems like the right Low beam was a bit higher, but I left it alone.
Let us know if the new bulbs produce more or fewer people flashing their lights at you. I get a few of those, especially since the new Xenon XD5 bulbs (Maybe I should adjust!)

You guys are crazy.

All I did was remove the first couple of inner fender well protector screws and go up through the fender well to get to the low beam headlight bulbs.
Swapped to Silverstars too and relized how high the headlights were aimed.

hey guys i installed my silverstar low beams this weekend and i done it the same way as described by Speed-Freak. less than ten minutes and i was done i too noticed that the right headlight was aiming into the trees. anybody else noticed this or is my truck just a bit off? also, has anyone tried the Silverstars on the high beams yet? i would like to know if it is worth an extra $40 for them or not. the low beams are freakin nice though

I've got silverstar high/lows on my volvo -- VERY worth it. It's soooo nice having white light instead of yellow! Only thing nicer would be HIDs

Silverstars are definitely a GREAT solution to the yellow beams, but like you said, no substitute for HIDs. Finally moved my HIDs over...UNREAL
