Question billet grille recomendation for my titan

What type of billet grilles are people putting on their trucks. I want to get one that will work with the front license plate as well as utilize the emblem. Thanks.

I went with the $150 one from ebay for all four pieces as you see in the picture below. The emblem is relocated using the sticky tape and I added a zip tie thru it. Works and looks just fine :-)

I am going to go with the B-Cool grille, which is going to replace the stock grille. I will be reusing the stock emblem as well. I am trying to go as long as possible without attaching the front license plate. Eventually, I plan to get the Western Bull bar and relocate the license plate.
This is what it should look like http://members.cox.net/junkola/B-Cool%20Install.mht

BiXLL, Look here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7906626434

I bought the set, and they sent B-Cool brand. The lower one bolts to the cross members in the stock lower grill. I haven't installed them yet, because I am considering powder coating the lower one. They seem to be pretty well made, although I may find a different way to mount the lower one. Just because I am too picky...

Hi all,
Which color is closest to a blackened chrome look; brushed, polished or black? I dont want a solid black but dark chrome color.
Thanks

Mike, A couple of people have found a grill that is "Black Chrome" I am not sure who makes it, but if you do a search here using that phrase, you will probably be able to find out. None of the other choices that you mentioned, will have that appearance. If they don't mention where they got them, give em a PM.

People here are pretty helpful...

Thanks IMADOGMAN! I wasn't sure you were still talking to me after my mistake with your name!

Do you think the billet would look OK keeping the upper stock? I really wanted to get a stock looking honeycomb for the bottom, but it is becoming obvious I am not going to find one.

Forgive and forget...I know that it was just a Freudian slip...and that you are a closet Dodge lover....

As for the lower billet. I was considering doing just what you are talking about before I bought the set. Even at that, I am considering taking the lower billet and having it powder coated to either match the existing gray, or possibly black. That is why I haven't installed it yet. I think that on my white truck, that the chrome doesn't stand out as much as with the darker colors, so it might be okay anyway. I haven't seen a picture of a white SE or LE with both billets...or that would help me decide. I wouldn't have even bothered with the lower grill, but that radiator and fan look pretty vulnerable to me.
You might wait just another month or two and see if the 2005 has a honeycomb lower...???

just a thought

I just ordered upper and lower from here: http://www.autoanything.com/products..._grille_insert

The guy advised me that the "black" was a balck powdercoated billet aluminum. Sounds pretty close to black chrome. Imadogman, the lower sell for about 110.00 bucks but sounds close to what you are looking for.

I live in Houston and yesterday at Lowes I saw a new Titan with a stock grille that was " CHROME". Boy was it pretty. I do not know where he got it , completely stock just chrome. Could he have had it painted chrome? Is there a way to do that on plastic. It really looks nice.

hello all,

i got my upper and lower from socal motorsports. they offered me a discount because i am a titan talk member. best price i have seen thus far. installed both in under and hour. i would never put something on my baby that required me to use zip ties. bolt over for the upper and the lower fit right into the nice BIG HOLE nissan implanted in our bumper. i talked with john. 714-724-7978.

very satisfied with price and quality.

hope that helps.

My local dealer was nice enought to get in a black Carriage Works grill set so I could dry fit it to see how it looked. Sorry I didn't get any pictures, left the house without my digital. Anyway, it was shinier than I expected and looked good. Very much like 'black chrome' from a distance. The only thing I didn't like was that the bars are just far enough apart that you can make out the honeycomb behind it very well. I figure it's not an issue with the chrome or polished ones since the shine probably distracts your eye to some degree, but with the black, you see right through it. Might look at a black Trendz grill if they have one.
