Fold a cover

I was wondering if anyone has checked into or purchased a fold a cover for their truck bed. It looks pretty neat, I saw them here: http://www.fold-a-cover.com/. I didnt see any prices though.
Thanks

I talked to Fold-A-Cover a few weeks back and they had no expectation of producing anything that would work with the utilitrak system or for the Titan in general in the near future. Very disappointing, because that was exactly what I was looking for. So I went with the RollBak and installed it. I am very pleased with it!

Thanks for info. Which (brand) roll back did you go with?

Funny,
I e-mailed Fold-A-Cover several weeks ago and they told me they WERE working on a cover for the Titan and the utilitrak system. Then they proceeded to give my some BS about how it wasn't out yet because of their quality standards, blah, blah , blah.
I will follow up with them because I too was very intersted in this cover.

Check out this thread, his pics look great and the look is the same on my truck.

Roll Bak Installed

By the way, the word I got when I called Fold-A-Cover was that they didn't see doing anything soon that would work with the UtiliTrak system because that would require them to retool everything so that it would fit with the UtiliTrak. I even had one of their distributors call them with me standing there and they got the same story. All in all that was really disappointing, but I couldn't be more happy with the RollBak. If you are looking at them go to:

http://www.truck-bed-covers.com/

I called the guys at RollBak and got a better price ordering through their distributors. The install on the RollBak was pretty easy although I did stiffen some of the brackets.

Thanks Birdhunter,
One last question, how much space at the front of bed does the rollback take up when you have it fully open? I think the CC bed is 5.5, does the rollback knock that down to 4.5 or less?

MikeZ:
The canister is about 10" wide, but the rails stick out to about 12". There is about 12" clearance under the canister so you can still access the back of the bed.

Hey Guys-

I was looking at the rollbak a few weeks ago, and was concerned about the size of the cannister. Then I came across this http://www.peragon.com/product_index.html

I'm thinking about ordering one in a few days. I haven't contacted them yet but it looks like it doesn't eat up as much space.

Thanks MikeZ for the heads up on an alternate.
I rolled out an e-mail today to K-Cover (the manufacturer of this cover). I'll post the response for anyone else considering. Below is e-mail:

Saw your cover on "Amazing Truck Accessories" web site and see it is available for my truck (Nissan Titan CC with Utili-Trac).
Some questions:
Notice it is not listed on the K-Cover website - why?
Have you sold/installed these yet? how many?
What "installation class" would the cover be?
How many panels?
Details on installation mounting with Utili-Trac.
Are any Utili-Trac accessories limited with the cover installation?
Any photos of install on Titan?

Thanks for a reply

K-Covers

Here is response from the owner of K-Covers, I'll let you know when I get the fax of the installation instructions (see below):

Q. Notice it is not listed on the K-Cover website - why?
A. K-Covers site is currently being updated. It is written in a
different language and takes a little longer, but will be up shortly.

Q. Have you sold/installed these yet? how many?
A. Sold 5 to ship today, Installed 2 on demo models already.

Q. What "installation class" would the cover be?
A. Installation Class 3 - A 4 Panel Cover, Drill-Less, On trucks with a
factory locking tailgate.

Q. Details on installation mounting with Utili-Trac.
A. No pictures as of yet. There are 4 brackets on each side, 4 inches
long each. They bolt directly into the Utili-track. Detailed
installation instructions to include hardware diagrams that come from
digital pics.

Q. Are any Utili-Trac accessories limited with the cover installation?
A. I'm sure a bunch of accessories will be limited when the hardware is
in place as it will take up a total of 4 spots 4 inches each along the
bed rail. However, with many of the Utili-Track Accessories, when you
have one installed, you often are unable to use the other one. That is
no different from our installation.

Q. Any photos of install on Titan?
A. Not yet...but we should have installation instructions with pics
available today at least in hardcopy that we can to fax to you once we
get them.

Hopefully this answers your questions. First wave of covers is going
out today.

Regards,

Mark
