anyone with utili-track?

Can anyone here that has the utili-track tie down cleats take a good close up pic of them? I have seen some pics, but need one that shows a little more detail. It looks like that the cleat can be seperated from the roller part in the pics I have seen, but I need to be sure. I want to devise a rack for the rollers to go on to mount a chest type tool box to in the bed. thanks in advance for any help.

While I have the track people here, what, or where are the little pices in the box with the cleats used for? The floor track? Just can't figure their purpose.

they are to put into the tracks to keep items in the track from shifting.

I use mine when I've got one or more pieces of my bedcover out.

Let's see if I can attach some pictures:

I got 4 little pieces with a bolt through the middle. No instructions in box as to what they were for though.

BiXLL, Use your imagination. Those stops can be used anywhere along the track to provide a repetitive reposition of your bed divider, or at the back of the tracks to keep your extender or slider from sliding out of the track, or on the bottom track to hold a pallet against the front or rear of the bed....etc, etc, etc....

Wow! Thanks for all the great pics. I believe I can fabricate something that will work, now that I see how those cleats look. You guys are great, thanks!

D,

Check out this site. The Metal Framing Page. They make a product called a spring-nut that might work for your application. 1/4 inch thread would probably be fine. You can find these at any electrical supply house, and probably home improvment stores too. The spring nuts work just like the threaded part that fits in the Utilitrac. One of the guys on this site used them on his side rails for something. Anyway, check it out. Better yet, check out the threads in the next post!!!
