Advance Folding Cover

I ordered and installed the Advance Folding Cover through K Covers out of Conroe, TX. Unit was ordered by phone on Tues for residential delivery. Delivery was attempted on Thursday (nobody home) and actually delivered on Friday. Pretty good service.

Cover fits nicely and, I think, looks good, though a bit utilitarian. Only real limitation I have found is that the rear bracket holding down the cover stops the sliding bed extender from sliding all the way rearward. I may trim down the rear bracket to get a little more movement out of the extender.

I can send pics if anyone is interested.

I should mention that the right hand picture above shows how the rear bracket limits the rearward travel of the bed extender mounting bracket. However, the bracket is longer than it needs to be, so I may consider cutting the cover bracket's length. May wait until warranty period is up to do this, however.

Actually placed an order today. Shipping is a bit steep because there is an extra charge for home delivery, but the cover is specifically made for the Utiliti-track system

Hey bilpet!
That looks nice. Being a hard cover with moving parts, does that thing rattle at all? How sturdy does the top feel (is it hard plastic or metal)? Have you had a chance to see how water resistant it is?

I've been doing some research on this cover. Here is a link that the guy I've been talking to sent me to see some pictures.

thx fro the link!!! and 647 shipped is not to bad at all--looks like I have found my BDay present, I was going to go retrax, but the drillless installation, and the ability to just fold it back--is the sellling point for me

I haven't washed the truck since installing the cover, but I suspect there will be some leakage into the bed, primarily from the gap where tailgate meets bed sides. 1st photo below shows this gap and a pressure wash is bound to blow water through this gap. Photo 2 is an attempt to show profile of cover as it sits above the bed side tops. The cover is not as sleek looking as the painted-to-match hard fiberglass covers, but I think that the folding features make it more useful. The link above shows good views of the cover and its latching hardware, but remember that the vehicle in the pictures is not a Titan, so the attaching hardware is different for the Titan. The cover appears to be made of aluminum sheets sandwiching a foam or something filler. Panels are about 3/4 inch thick. They would carry some weight, but not much. I certainly wouldn't stand on it. The cover actually straddles the bed sides, so it (the cover) sticks up about an inch above the bed sides.

installed my advance cover three days ago, great product. gave it the wash test. got a few drops from the two corners next to the cab, those have been sealed off. i think the cover is pretty much water tight. it looks great on the titan. received cover in three days.

Did you all have to do this step?

"TO INSTALL THE REAR LOCK CATCH ON THE TAILGATE:
***You will have to notch the PLASTIC bedliner piece on tailgate to mount rear
latch directly onto the tailgate (we need direct contact with the metal)"

I dont know how I missed this thread the first time but I'm damn happy I found...will order one soon!!!

Also, nobody answered the question above about rattles...are there any; and what's the deal with the weather stripping, you just stick it down onto the rails? How can you get it off later if you want to...goof off?
