Hey guys, I found someone locally who is wanting to start his own fabrication shop and I volunteered my truck to be his first project. To say the pre runner look is almost un heard of down here is a understatement lol. I'm wanting. Bumper to be similar to the ADD Venom bumper. I'm needing some help with the plans. First off would be what size tubing should I go with? I told him I though 1-3/4 would be good, but he said he'd rather 2". What do y'all pre runner experts think? Lol. And any kind of tips and plan layouts are more than appreciated!! Here's the venom bumper..

Re: HELP building a pre runner bumper
2" is pretty big man, id go with 1.5 or 1 3/4 DOM .120 wall. then use 10 gauge for the plates.

Thanks bro! That will actually save me some coins. Lol. I have some extra 1-1/2 in the garage. Where's the best place to order the material for the plates? And some square tubing? Or should I try a local shop first? I'm trying to keep it cost friendly because I have a HUGE interior project coming soon!

I only use 1 3/4 on EVERYTHING i use, bumpers, shock hoops, cages, etc. Its the happy medium that doesn't look small, or big, and has plenty of strength.

Day one of making plans and the ideas have already complete switched. Haha no more pre runner and now going with a heavy duty bumper similar to road rhino. I told the guy I was going to a friends shop to pick up the metal and he said all he needed was a 2ftx8ft piece of 3/16 thick steel sheet. That just does not seen like enough metal. What do y'all think? He has fabricated a lot of bumpers for jeeps and offroad UTVs and ATVs: I have seen his work and gotten references, but to me an unknowlagable person that just does nt seem like enough. What do y'all think? Where you at Honda? I think you built one befor right? Lol
