Messed around with my headlight retrofit project today and decided to review the HID kit I was using. Figure I would give a personal review and pics instead of the stock ones from the website. Plus i already had my camera out
Here is what came in the box:
Everything outside their boxes:
Close up of the ballasts. They actually look cool. Might display them instead of hiding them in the "shelf" under the headlights. Nice and hefty too with plastic mesh on the bulb cable.
Bottom of the ballast. This kit came with a simple bracket also, a nice touch.
Here are the bulbs:
The "elite" kit comes with bulbs, ballasts and relay harness. I really like the relay harness because it is long and looks well built. The wires are covered in that mesh that is on the ballasts which really cleans up the stray wires.
And here are some output shots from my test fit of my retro'd headlights. The bulbs I bought were 5000k.
The lights turned on right away and I barely saw any warm up time, although I wasnt paying close attention. I will probably make a video to show how the light up after I finish my retrofit project.

im running these now too. these morimoto are one of the top notch HID kits available for a decent price. nothing against people who sell HIDs on here...but the finish and quality is way ahead then 99% of the HID kits available. of course unless ur talkinga bout OEM type HID kits which go for like 400-500 used lol

do you have to use a relay harness for those? or does it just make it work better?
You dont NEED to use it, but I would highly recommend it. Makes the kit (and any kit really) work better since it gets power straight from the battery. I know some other kits flicker and such and that it is sometimes solved by adding the relay. I personally think everyone should use one, but people want to save money so they dont want to spend the extra for it. (but like I said, THIS kit comes with one when you purchase the whole setup).

You can google it to see who sells it. Dont want to sound rude, but since we have sponsors on here, I dont want it to look like I was/am advertising. I just wanted to give my review of the kit.

i've also been looking at their kits, just undecided between 4300 or 5000k, from what i've read the 5000k has alot less blue then other brands, i dont want any blue i want white

The quality of their ballast and the inclusion of relays in their wiring kit is top notch. Nice kit and the light output looks amazing! Nice mod!

Yeah I just put a set of the Morimoto Elite 3Fives (fogs) on my T. I was running a cheap set (DDM) on both headlights and fogs but the fogs would flicker alot and then one got to where it just wouldn't work at all. These Morimotos are very nice and worked flawlessly. I like how the little red LEDs on the relays are on when the lights are on..... looks cool even if nobody can see it. If/when my headlights start acting up I will definitely get another set of these to replace those DDMs.
