extremely upset

i ordered several items from jamie, one of which being bed rails. These came damaged to me, and i didn't notice it until i got 80% through the intstallation.

by the way, i don't blame jamie in any way. i'm sure it's the fex ex guys that dropped the box on the ends. you will see in these pics how the end of the rails are smashed in, and the paint is chipped on one of them. nissan did not help the situation because there is no padding on the ends of the box whatsoever.

i wanted to post this so that if you plan to order online and have something shipped, check every stupid *** part before you begin to install. i've learned this lesson the hard way.

Your not the first with problem

Critter,
Ordered mine from local dealership and they were damaged in the exact same way. Luckily, I opened the box before leaving the parts department and found it. Parts guy had to ordered another set. Some real pi$$ poor packaging. I'd contact Jamie and ask for replacements ASAP but, this time I would ask that they check for damage and re-package prior to shipping. Good luck!!

Critter,

I went through the same deal with a Westin bull bar. Didn't notice
a dent in the crossbar until after I had it on the truck. I had to
change from my naturally sweet disposition into a complete a-s-s
before I could get the vendor to do a call back with Fed Ex and
replace it. Even then, they waited until Westin OK'd the deal.

The packaging was to blame in my case, also. Even the new bull
bar they sent was still unprotected in the box. But luckily, it didn't
have any dents.

I would have given Jamie a chance to address the problem before
posting a thread on it, but I understand how upset it can make you.
You can't make a damage claim with Fed Ex unless there is visible
damage to the outside of the box. Poor packaging is the responsibility
of the manufacturer. Let us know how it comes out.

Steve

i plan to call jamie tomorrow. like i said, i lay no blame at his end. he doesn't pack the thing at the nissan factory, nor does he handle the package en route. i only posted because it's like rawze said.....i was so excited, then bang - slap in the face when it comes messed up. i put on the bug shield i ordered, so that made me feel a little better. i also put on the lo pro truxedo yesterday, so i'm happy about that.

well, i talked to jamie today and everything will be taken care of. he's shipping new ones to me with a return label for the damaged ones. i really applaud his customer service on this issue, because a lot of people would have asked to have the damaged parts returned before shipping out new ones. and that would have turned the whole thing into a 3 or 4 week ordeal. he said he'll check them before shipping to me, and put some extra packing in the box. hopefully they stay safe. critter
