reason i ask is because it will start to peel if you are somewhere with lots of sand rocks or mud... we plastidipped our track rims and after about 100 passes they are starting to peel but can be redone in under 2 hours... i did the titan emblems and start to finish was 45 min & they were dry to the touch.... four rims id recommend 5cans

Only place with rocks and sand is my boyfriends work, which I goto a lot. I really want to do it to see if I actually like the pink look or not.

The pink photoshop you did looked awesome, powdercoat the stockers and get overlays for the fogs it looks sweet
A step ahead of you on the fogs, already have those on the way... Along with 12k hids for the fogs and pink interior LEDs.... Just gotta really think long and hard before I invest in the wheels
Plastidipping the wheels is super easy. I just cut a slit down the middle of a garbage bag and fed it through the wheel and wrapped it around the rotor. Then i just sprayed away. If i remember correctly i did 5 heavy coats. I took a micro fiber towel to the tire after it dried and it took the plastidip right off the tire. In all honesty you'd be suprised how well it holds up on the wheels as long as you have a good thick coating. If i were you i would plastidip them and if you like it peel it off and get them powdercoated. $20 in plastidip is nothing compared to getting them powdercoated and not liking it.

On that website they have a plasti dip blaze wheel kit which comes with 4 cans of color and 2 cans of whit and then you can get either matte gloss or pearl top coat for like 45-69$ depending on your choices... I'm just nervous about doing it on the truck...
I forgot the blaze colors are a bit more. Don't be nervous its easy and harmless. Even if you get overspray on your paint by accident which is very difficult to do, you can just let it dry and rub it right off with a micro fiber towel. When i did mine it looked and held up great. Now that i removed it you could never tell it was even there.

I think you have talked me into it, but I wonder if its to cold right now to do it
As a general rule you don't wanna paint in the cold.... It doesn't adhere as well. Sadly if you want it to last your best choice would be waiting for warm. I'd say 70-80 at the least. Always keep the van warm before you use it also. When we bedlined my buddies grill I had him sit on the can for a minute or two to warm it up. Hahaha

Worry about the temp AND humidity. Pick a dry day to do it and you'll be set. I can rattle can just about as goo as my dog...and I can say I did a decent job on the rims. It's definitely worth the Look for the extreme low cost. Just reserve 5 hours and take your time!
Hit one wheel, and then the next, and so on....by the time you get back to the first rim it will be ready for its second coat

sounds like I have a few months before I will be able to attempt it, then again the weather in texas seems to be about as moody as a woman going through menopause

yea there have been A LOT of members on here who have put plastidip on their trucks, GoodKill sprayed his whole truck. Its pretty easy to do; just prep, spray, and dry. And if you dont like it, it peels right off. One of the safest mods to do to a car.

Being brutally honest here. Stay away from plasticrap.
I had my rear bumper and front bumper done, didn't even last 2 months (with no offroading). Started peeling and flaking almost instantly. Made my truck look like those raggedy pants they sell with pirate costumes. And yes, I tried it multiple times all with the same outcome.
Not to mention the black is more of a dark grey/faded black... Just my opinion, but I will never use that garbage again.
