Re: Replacement Steering Wheel Audio Control Switches
Brings up another question now.... I have the in-dash 6 disc changer. Is that "premium audio"? Geez, I wish Nissan parts diagrams would show the actual image of the part....
EDIT:
Premium Audio is the system with the center dash speaker right? The one on the top and middle of the dash? ...still learning about this truck...bear with me. lol

Re: Replacement Steering Wheel Audio Control Switches
Question for the group here, who has done the "lighted" steering wheel controls like the later models? Are the lights annoying or bothersome with seeing the lights in your vision at night? Considering this, but not sure I want to be annoyed with glare of the lights or not. Not that they are that bright or anything, but just don't want to be distracted by those lights. Checkin on opinions.

Re: Replacement Steering Wheel Audio Control Switches
I'm almost sure that I'm one of the only pre-'08 Titans with lighted steering wheel controls.
#1 It's not easy to do... Most definitely NOT plug-n-play.
#2 I don't get distracted by them and they don't bother me. Then again, I don't get bothered by the reflection of the radio lights on the rear window when I look in my RVM. I also look THROUGH the windshield... not at it... So I can only speak for myself here...

Yeah I know it is a bit of work to install, I have read that thread repeatedly, but the glare off the drivers window for my gauges is annoying sometimes too, I changed the lights out to LED's so that the red on the gauges wasn't so bad in the driver side window. Tinted windows doesn't help that glare either, but I still see it in the peripheral vision. Same as having a piece of paper or something on the dash, that reflection to me is annoying. Never thought of the radio lights on the rear window, must not bother me if I don't recall it as an issue.

Hahahah... But now that you know about them, you're going to be looking.. LOL!
They aren't that bright. I will say, the cruise control light on the dash, when using it at night, that sucker is bright as daylight... and right in your face. I wouldn't mind subduing that puppy... but the steering wheel lights are mild by comparison.
Here's the plan... take a newer T out for a test drive at night... See what you think. That's the only way you'll know for sure.

Yeah that cruise light is getting fixed here very soon. Gonna have my dash lights done and that damn thing is gonna be mellowed tremendously. Both of em actually, the set and the cruise.
