I have the Cobra 75 WX ST All-in-handset CB .

I've had it going on 3 years now and have had no difficulty. The ugly box size is about 1/3 a pack of smokes. I hid it behind the glovebox when I had it removed to add the cabin microfilters. Antenna plugs in there and 12V+/- is available from the fuse block just on the other side of the glove box. Easy

The mike unit hangs (using small cell phone style cup clip)just below the center passenger side A/C vent. It's out of the way but easily reachable.

I was working from what I had on hand-so there may be other methods but this worked for me.

I had a Wilson 1000 with a magnetic mount. I wanted the antenna on the roof about 6" forward of the rear brake light. The roof gets too flexi any further toward the center. I got some of that clear plastic film made for covering headlights- maybe 8 mil thick.
Cut & trimmed a piece and stuck it down. Antenna base is on that so I don't scratch the dikins out of the roof. Hard to tell the film is even there. Ran the wire around the light and down through some plastic cable guides along the center edge of the rear window, behind the cab and entered cab through a plastic plug in the body. Then I ripped it all out yesterday!

I got XM last week and had to re think everything. I was going to get a micro XM antenna but it really needed to go ... right where the CB antenna was. $hat !

I left the CB where it was and opted for a Terk XM-11 6" mast antenna. That got mounted on top of the brake light. CB and XM leads got routed into/under brake light housing with some mods by a Dremmel grinder.

You don't have to walk that far. The fuse box is next to the glove box. Pull one of the fuses depending on if you want power with the key on or off. Note: stay away from any fuse that has something "electronic" on it. One of the lighters, dome lights just a "stupid circuit"is OK. Pull the fuse and you'll have the contacts down in there looking like - - . Twist the wire strands up tight and stick it down into one of the contacts- jam the fuse back in. It helps if you have a voltmeter to tell which contact is hot.

The Pos + is what you stick into the fuse block. The neg - where did I put that.. OK there was a sheet metal screw(s) or blank hole that was into the dash framework near the fuse box. It's just ground so anywhere you can go to the metal chassis is fine. If you take the glove box out you'll see a large dia. tube support with some other wires tie-wrapped to it. Just run your pair of leads along that and down to the fuse box. Same with the antenna lead.

I have the Cobra 75WX

There's a dual band with a remote face that look very good in the over head compartment. I'll post pic later.

Ya I put one in . I put it in my center console. It works great, I also put an external speaker under the dash. What I did was take the box out the console mounted the braket to it. I also still have room to put stuff in the console. So all and all it turned out great.
