Dashboard Switches

I'm going to be installing some extra lighting in my Titan and I'd like to use one of the blank switch areas on my dash.

Does anyone know if Nissan (or anyone) sells a blank switch that doesn't light up when the headlights are on?

I would prefer not to use one of the OEM pre-labeled switches.

I had the link once

but can't find it now. I think it is a common Nissan part and was listed as an an Xterra accessory. I'll keep looking.

If you can't find a Nissan switch that you like, you can just drill the switch blank and mount an aftermarket switch through the switch blank. There was a post here quite awhile ago that the dealer wanted $45 for a Nissan switch.

I got my Fog Light switch today. I got it from Jamie at Nissanparts247.com. Part number is 999F1-6E000. Price was $20.45 delivered. This switch is for Nissan trucks and Pathy's after 1994. It took about two months to get it due to being BACKORDERED. I think it was worth the wait though. I now have a factory Fog Light switch. Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaa!! Looks much better than the aftermarket rocker I had.
Hope this helps, I'd rather it look somewhat factory and pay $21 as opposed to a jainky AutoZone switch...

$21 for a rocker switch? Does it come with a jar of vaseline?

check w/ Mouser Electronics www.mouser.com

I just ordered a couple of their Carling rocker switches that should look VERY close to stock (at least as close as some of the Cole Hersee switches). They were about $6 each for a DPDT. Other styles are probably a bit cheaper.

Now that wasnt very necessary........

Autozone sells lighted, non lighted whatever you like. If you dont want the light to work....just dont wire it so it comes on. And if you mess up a cover they cost about 5-10 bucks for a replacement cover that is OEM. Not a bad idea to have a few around. I ordered a few and THEN worked on them so all i had to do was pull the dash and install.

Good luck!
