Break Controller

Need help installing this break controller, the sales guy at the dealer said just connect the controller to the jumper that came with the truck, and it would plug right in under the dash. Well I couldn't find where to plug it in at. If anyone knows, please help me out..Thanks in advance.

I found mine tucked up behind the dash just to the left of the steering column.

Thanks for the info guys, okay now that I found were to connect the jumper, I need help connecting the jumper to the controller. All I got was a tag stuck on the jumper. I know what some things say, but one wire says Color: R/L Function Ill, and Color: R Function Fused B+? Thanks for the help guys. Got a big trip this weekend, and trying to get this to work....

I run a Prodigy Brake Controller by Tekonsha. The wiring is pretty self explanatory if your even half way savy. DO NOT connect color to color though. While the OEM wires make sense the brake controller wiring makes no sense. They use Black for battery positive and White for battery negative. That had me scratching my head. If you need exact connections, let me know and I will post them.

The "R/L function ILL" means "Red with Light Blue Stripe and the function is Illumination." I did not use this wire on my Prodigy as the controller is illuminated constantly. The "R function Fused B+" means "RED function Battery Positive."

I mounted mine to the left of the hood release right above the parking brake. It doesn't get in the way at all there.
