Auto door lock kit

I've always liked the feature of the doors automatically locking when the car is in use. My wifes Ford Expe has this feature and we really appreciate it, especially with small children and living in L.A.
I found a kit you can add to the Titan allowing the doors to automatically lock when the ignition is turned on and unlock when shut off. I thought I'd share this link with those who may be interested in adding this to their truck.

Sorry, but I don't have an answer for you as I've yet to purchase the kit and install it myself. As soon as I get it and have it installed I'll give you some feedback on the difficulty of the installation.
In the meantime, you can contact Melinda at sales@autotechalarms.com for a copy of the installation sheet. She's really helpful.

Hmmm! I seem to have this on my truck already. I thought it was standard. Perhaps it came as part of the alarm package that came with the truck. I do know that when I turn the key on it locks, not sure about unlocking. Will have to check.

There is another option, that also includes a windows-up function via the keyfob...pretty cool. There is another thread on here about the install and such.

Granted, it is $60 vs. the $25 but it does much more.

If you want to buy it get it at

TriKKy,
Have you put one of these in your truck? If so, I have a few questions. I assume you have to remove the door panel-- 1) is this difficult? 2) Is the unit fairly easy to wire into the existing wiring? Thanks.

Decisions...decisions

Thanks for the lead Trikky. I think I may lean towards this kit instead.
