I replaced my chrome grill with OEM black painted grill and installed a black painted billet grill with polished face. See it at www.usantonio.com/busrtsphoto2A.htm

i did the same thing.
traded my chrome grille for a smoke xe grille. bought the carriage works 3 piece billet grille insert, polished, for $129 shipped.
the center piece doesn't quiet fit (1/8" too large, notice the bulge near teh hood), so i'm shipping it back and getting one within tolerance.

Are those the OEM steps on the side? I want to get some for mine, and I like those.
Hello all, I'm almost done with some more grills. I'm powder coating them with mirror chrome, smoke chrome and gloss black(for the XE models). I'm not chrome plating them anymore, it's too much a hassle and I think powder coating will be better. The grills will be the same pattern just a different color with the smoke and black. If anyone is interested email me at dunder23@hotmail.com
Later all, Dan
Woa, where did you get the stainless inserts from?
They are from American Truck N Auto. They are E&G Stainless Grills.
The price is $295 + Ship plus $20.65 ship. www.american-truck-auto.com
They come from the factory with the sticky protector on it. A bit of acetone and they clean up nice.
I hope there is no issue with air to thru the lower grill. I have read something that says we need to not restrict air flow. I have had no heat problems in Florida thus far. I will watch the guages especially when towing.
