Rigid lights again

Ok so I have been looking for lights to go in my towhook area and I may have found them.

The thing that always confuses me is the spot, vs flood vs difused vs wide, vs driving (did I miss one?) I think these may fit pretty well because they are

Width: 5" (4.960)
Height: 1-5/6" (1.840)
Depth: 2-1/4" (2.250)

What do you guys think, I have 3 inches to use so wondering if anyone else has a 2 levels other than rigid?

I would go with the flood pattern probably. I have two pairs of duallys on my bumper in flood pattern and they give good light all around

Re: Rigid lights again

A driving beam is very long range. I have the KC HiLite driving lights and they are a very narrow beam that extends for hundreds of yards. What I should have bought was something that lights up the road for 100 yards. The Rigid Industries web site had diagrams that show the light pattern for each type. That should help you decide.

Re: Rigid lights again

Chas,

Would the driving optics be OK to drive around on all the time? Kinda like fogs (i know technically you arent supposed to drive around with them on all the time either). I was thinking of buying a driving optic version so that I dont have to turn off the lights like I do with my current cube LED's since they are spot and shine on other drivers head on.

Re: Rigid lights again

The shape of the SR-Q2 and the light spread is much flatter when compared to the Dually. If you aim them accordingly the light shouldn't splash up as much. The SR-Q2 puts out double the lumens of the SR-Q though and is much brighter.

Re: Rigid lights again

I have Rigid Floods.

Didn't flush mount them but they do make a plate to fit inside the fog light hole.

Also used them for auxiliary reverse lights.
