Cat Catcher

The thing resembles a cow catcher, only smaller. I dub thee CAT CATCHER.

While I applaud the creativity, I must now retreat to bust out laughing uncontrollably..

That's AWESOME!!!
Just kidding. Sorry man, I have to agree withe everyone else. They might have gotten the idea from junkyard Wars. Let's all be reminded though, bumper guards and grill guards are NOT functional. They will NOT protect you or your truck in an accident. The brush guards are just for that- brush. The Westin (and others) look beefy, but they are made for cosmetics only.

Hmmm. Your much larger titan with that thing bumping into a small grand cherokee with an ARB Bull Bar or Trail Ready Bull Bar. Who wins? I would suspect if it was front on front the grand would penetrate to the second row of seats before getting a scratch. Sorry, but that is a sad looking setup. If you were going for the cheesy pimp look however, you nailed it.

"This isn't intended to be a brush/cattle guard, it is a bumper guard only."

Personally I hope that my bumper is tougher than that guard. or any guard for that matter.. I just haven't seen one yet that appeals to me. Kinda takes away from the front of the truck. that's me though.. so be cool.

Heynels and 04CCinBrLa, both your comments are appreciated regarding the functional capacity of this prototype 'front bumper guard'. Some people think that if it is bigger it is stronger and invincible. The encounter between David and Goliath in the Old Testamant of the Holy Bible has been forgotten by some but your wisdom is noted.

Everyone that has posted to this thread has had their positive feed back filtered back to OIW and sometimes after the holiday they have promised they will have a "best fit" product based on your and other truck owners responses from other sources as well. I'll be posting pics of the real thing as soon as it is ready.

Have a Merry Christmas to Everyone and remember that Jesus is the Reason for the Season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It kinda looks like those antennas I used to make out of a coat hanger for my old B/W tv.

wow peeps...brutal...but true. i don't know the rest of the country but i must agree with a previous post that most people who own more high end full size trucks want the cleaner/tough look mix and this is ESPECIALLY true for most cali owners who, from the postings make a good chunk of us. for instance, check out the comments on the fabtech truck in this section. they spent WAAAAAY to much money on useless tACkYY junk for that truck--not even they could get away from criticism.
i like the color and the beefy beginnings on the bottom--but the corner bumper 'wraps' look like they could be bent by my hands!!
lose the sheet metal vibe
thick tubing in a new design with that color and a black option would be dopeness.

one word of caution to fabers out there...be careful to post pics and ask for opinions!!!!---unless your are READYYY for some tough lovin!!!

hey look at it this way you got at least one staight sale! (zardoz--lets see some pics when you've installed it)

Just got back. I have not been around for the last two weeks. One thing
you guys have to understand is I don't care if my truck is ugly. I build my
truck for purpose. I have already been told my truck antennae is ugly , my
canopy with the solar panels on top is ugly, so why should I not have a
ugly bumper :-). Actually I hope to use this to mount some PVC poles to
help make a sun shade using aluminet over the whole truck when I camp
in hot deserts and this guard looks perfect to me for my purposes. Ugly
is in the eye of the beholder.
