westin grill guard

this is probably a stupid question but i thought i would ask before i go buying anything. i have the off road package with factory skid plate. i was wondering if i have to remove the skid plate if i installed a westin grill guard. or do i have to make any modifications to make things fit. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

I had someone else install mine. I read somewhere on TT that they had to grind a little off of the skid plate to get it back on. I told my installer that if that's what it took then do it. I wanted the plate on. I don't know if he actually had to do it or not. I did loose my tow hooks though. Not a problem for me if I need to use something I'll use the guard. It's mounte in the same area and is very hefty.
