Accessory fuse

I did a search and came up with trailer wiring and fog lights.

I have seen a thread on here talking about a product that plugs into the existing factory fuse block and creates two fuses- one for accessories. I have a link to a similar item here: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=071-580
I would like to pruchase this item, but I am not sure its correct. I thought our fuse blocks are a smaller size? I know this product has been mentioned before, so if this is indeed the right one than sweet thanks for the verification, otherwise anyone know where to get one that works? Thanks!

FYI, that little guy is available at your local Autozone for $6.99. I got one for my Sirius install, but seeing as how my PIE amp isn't in yet I done it yet. I hope it's the same size. I'll go out to the truck in a moment and check to see.

EDIT: I just went out and checked. Sure enough, its too big to fit in the fuses. Glad its still in the box.

Anyone know anything about these piggyback type accessory fuses? I still need to find a place to buy one, and I attached the best picture I could find:

www.bussman.com BP/HHA

www.mouser.com part # 504-HHA

Maybe it is the cooper-bussman BP/HHA ?

bussman has it in their catalog and mouser has it for sale, but no data sheet. I'm not sure if it is for the correct size of blade fuse or not.

see page 36 in the bussman catalog:

Go to Radio Shack

That double fuse thingy is to cumbersome for some fuse blocks, not to mention some use the mini blade. Try this $1.49 fuse tap from Radio Shack. Shove one end into the block, connect your accessory power line to the other. Just make sure you have an inline fuse somewhere on the circuit.

I ended up finding what I was looking for at Autozone for $6.99 if anyone is looking for the mini fuse extender in the future. I attached an installed picture too, I used it with my power window install. Pretty clean and easy way to get power in my opinion.

Cool. I have a radar detector to install. I will go to Autozone and pick one up.
