Headlight, Foglight, Turn Signal Lamps ....

Those of you who have replaced your factory lamps ....

What are you using ??

And where did you get them ??

I drive some dark roads and can't decide if I oughta use something like the Blue Xenons like I see on Ebay .... or "Super White" or "Artic White" as shown here ...

http://superlumination.com/headlights.htm

So ... what's everybody using ?

Thanks Squid ....

Although a true HID system would be the best ... like Sylvania's Xenarc ....

I just don't know that I wanna go to that much trouble ...

Whatdaya think about their Silverstar line ??

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...on/default.htm

The part that I don't like is that the "rated life" seems to go through the floor as compared to standard lamps ....

This is kind of interesting

http://www.streetracersonline.com/articles/silverstar/

Like you I drive alot at night.6 days a week and I also live in the country. So I'm still trying to decide.I also would like to have some true fog lights.
Anyway still researching.

Never mind it seems from reading forums like civicland that the life of the silverstar is really short. Not good for a 100 mile a night driver.

People misunderstand the life expectency of the SilverStars. The chart is not hours of use, but a reference. I don't know what the reference numbers stand for, but I have used SilverStars in my Pathfinder that I owned before my Armada, and I have had them in my Armada from the start. 116,000 miles on the Pathfinder and 14,000 on the Armada with no problems with the SilverStars. About 40% of those miles were using the headlights. I made the mistake of trying some of the eBay specials, one of the bulbs broke open after less than 2 hours use.
Most part houses and Walmart carry the SilverStars. I don't think they are brighter, but they are whiter, and objects show up much better with them over the OEMs.
