Question 05' Underseat Storage (rear) Anyone have one from factory?

I now see that the 05' has an option listed on Nissan's site for a rear underseat storage bin. I inquired at the dealer and they said they have nothing in the computer and to call Nissan... So I did and they tell me that they can't even find the item and that I need to give them a part # directly off the storage bin and then they can order it.. Aren't they supposed to know that?? So anyhow if anyone has gotten one from the factory with their 05, please take a look on it for a serial or part # so I can go to my dealer and order it.

Thanx
Steve

underseat rear storage

Here is a link to a website for an aftermarket underseat storage bin for a Titan. I have not purchased one however, just researching.

Don't know if you still need an answer, but I have the underseat bin in mine. Just got the truck yesterday. The dealer is replacing it because the bracket is really loose and it rattles, so when the new one comes in I will have the part number. I'll see what I can see on the part itself though too next time I'm out at the truck.

IMO it's not really worth the $140, I'd rather have the flat space under the seats. I might end up putting mine on eBay in a few months if I end up not using it at all.

Do your buds here at TT a favor and advertise it here in the BUY/Sell forum first.

Question

Does the underseat tray fasten somewhere or does it just sit on the floor?

My Titon came with the rear underseat storage but I removed it this weekend. I need to set my computer case, etc. in the rear floorboard with the rear seats folded up. The storage units were installed with two small bolts and were easy to remove. This was a very cheap option for Nissan to sell. I kept the units for future use.

Yes, body painting like when Demi did it for Vanity Fair back in the ealry 90s, but not like what they do in that men's magazine with the bunny logo.

As for the storage bin, I wish it had a 60/40 split like the bench. That way you could take out the section for the side of the seat that you lift up in case you need to put somehting in that requires all of the floor space. For example, when I bought Truck41's LE wheels & tires, I put two of them inside the cab on with the 60 side of the bench folded up and used all of the floor space on that side.

Of course most of the time the 60 side of the bench is down with a carseat (soon to be 2 car seats) strapped down to the Child Seat Anchors and the 40 side it up. Would be convenient to be able to swap the box in and out based on the immediate need.
