Custom Bent Exhaust

I am needing to know if a custom bent exhaust compared to a manu. bought exhaust is any different? Will either exhaust sys. screw with the fuel economy, engine perf, etc... If so I have an exhaust shop bent exhaust that looks and sounds great, but I am only averaging 11mpg. DOes anyone have any recomendations.

Could it be that you enjoy the sound so much that your a bit heavier on the gas? Also does your state use a winter mix for gas? That eats fuel quicker too.

Clint what the he!! is a winter mix??? I normally go to the same gas station here locally (knoxville, TN). No I do not go heavy on the gas pedal. I read a post here and it said he tried to keep his RPM's right at or under 3K . I tried it, it works a little. It just seams that I am gettin worse MPG than the majority of the ppl on this forum.

That is about what I get. I do not even keep track anymore. It gets rather depressing.
