Question K-cover Vs. Fold-a-Cover

I am considering a hard, folding tonneau cover for my soon-to-be delivered F-150. I have visited the web sites for Fold-a-Cover and K-Cover. From what I can gather, the K-Cover has a two panel design for the Super Crew and the Fold-a-Cover is a four panel design. I think the four panel design looks better and it might be easier to open the rear panel of a four panel design when standing behind the tail gate. I also like the fact that the four panel design will fold up more and allow you to use more of the bed when in the folded position.

The K-Cover seems like they have a better latching system and the hinges are better. The two panel design would have few parts and they have a “no drilling required” system.

Does anyone have any experience with these covers? Which one did you buy and why?

Thanks,
Tom

P.S.
I know this is a Titan web site. Nissan makes a very good truck and I respect everyone who had purchased one. I posted on this site to ask for the opinions of other truck owners on folding tonneau covers and not to trash talk brands.

I have a 4-panel K-cover and I love the thing.

Are you sure they don't make a 4-panel for the F-150...that would really surprise me.

I got foldacover. It is a no drill. You glue side rails to your bed edges and lay the cover in and put on brackets clamped to the bed to hold it forfore and aft movement. the side rails hold it for side to side movement. It was easy to install. juma

Thanks for your reply. I called K-Cover to verify the model they make for the F-150 and it is the two panel design. Mark at K-Covers did a good job explaining the benefits of each brand and I like the "no extra rail" system of the K-Cover. There is no gluing or drilling involved as everything is held in with "C" clamps. However, I think the four panel design is better and that only comes with a Fold-a-Cover product.

Thanks again for the quick reply,
Tom
