Cab Lights

Anyone thought of doing this to your Titan? I wonder how it would look on the Titan?

Yep, that attachment works. I didn't mean to imply that you had anything to do with it not working.

I've seen those lights on other trucks and I'm not real partial to them. What is their use? Or are they just for looks? And you would have to drill through the roof to wire them? So I don't think this one is in my future, but I wouldn't put down anyone who wants to try it to make their Titan unique.

I think the real use for those are to see how much clearance you have under a bridge.

Huh? I have seen the stock on a lot of f150s. I have never seen a bridge low enough to worry about on an f150. They are also avaialble on the truck visors you can buy.

They are called cab clearance lights and are required on 1 ton trucks or larger.

The link below shows a step by step install on an F250. The install on a Titan should be somewhat similar.

If you put those cab lights on, you're automatically obligated to add twin CB radio antenna's on the mirrors and mudflaps with chrome naked lady sillouettes.

I've never seen a truck that had one without the others, so it might even be a law.

Any idea why GM is putting them on the half ton Denalis? I have never figured these lights out. Don't make much sense to me unless you just like the way they look. What could their real function be since the person driving can't see them to use them for anything?

I heard that they were required if a vehicle was over a certain width. The Denalli has 4 wheel steering and is slightly wider-hence the cab lights on that model.
