Ok, my first post. I've added a Hidden Hitch reciever hitch and tow wiring, but have no trailer lights. I've added the relay (blue) that I was told is for trailer lights, and I get sporadic brake lights and blinkers, but no running lights. Do I need the other relay (the brown one) to get everything working? I've double and triple checked to make sure the wiring harness is plugged in good, and it is. I'm starting to wonder if I've got a bad wiring harness.

I also added an aftermarket trailer hitch so what relays do I need to get? I thought it was a plug and play with the wiring harnes tucked under neath. What kind of crap is Nissan pulling.
AR Titan, I was told that only one relay is required b/c the other one is for the brake controller. If your blinkers and brake lights are working sporadically I would check all wiring connections first. The blinkers and brakes should work without either of the relays installed.

If I don't need either relay, I think my one of my four legged monsters may have gotten ahold of my trailer wires or I have a bad wiring harness. But why would the OEM hitch come with the relays if you don't need them???
I too assumed the process was plug and play. Well I plugged, but I haven't gotten to play yet. I thought the wiring would be easier than installing the hitch (which I did myself, by myself). I sure as hell wasn't paying the dealership $500+ to do what I could for about $200.

Thanks in advance.
check your ground on your trailer. Sporatic lights sometimes means the trailer is trying to ground through the hitch.

Update: I rewired the trailer (btw, it is a 4x8 utility trailer < 6 mo. old, no brakes). I still have no lights or blinkers on the trailer. I guess I will try replacing the wiring harness I added to the truck.

Your Titan came with a wiring harness already wired in. It's located in
the rear probably tied up near the back bumper/spare tire. It has a
7-pin connector on the end of it. You only need the blue relay for
the trailer lights. The other is for electric brakes. You may have a fault
in the Tractor Supply harness you wired in so use the harness that came
installed on the truck. Get a 7-pin to flat-4 connector and you should
be good to go with your utility trailer.
I didn't wire in the TSC harness, it plugged into the oem harness that was tucked up in the bumper. It plugged in easily and appears to be the proper fit. Thanks for the info on the relays. I've had alot of people tell me I need both. The guy at the local nissan parts counter had no clue either.
