Adaptor Kit from Access for Sliding Bed Extender

Has anyone installed this? If so, what exactly does it do and how is it installed?

Thanks!!!

Since it seems no one here has used it, I ordered one anyway.

I'll post review when I get it installed.

I believe you are talking about the adapter that allows the bed extender to flip with the tonneau cover. Not sure if it only works with Access brand tonneau covers.

Yeah thats what I'm talking about. I'm sure it would work with any brand, but I think the Access ones are the ones that stick too far into the bed, preventing the extender from being flipped.

Mine should be here this weekend.

Bed Extender Kit?

Hey there TideFan!

Just curious if you got your bed extender kit yet and installed it?

How does it work? Do you like it?

I actually have an 05 Frontier that Access just released covers for and they are selling this Bed Extender kit for it as well, so I would like to know exactly what it does and if it's worth it to get this and the Access cover itself.

Any and all info is truly appreciated!
Thanks!

I just installed the Truxedo Lo Profile and my bed extender won't flip with it either. Let us know if this worked.

I built my own. Its really pretty simple. You probably don't know this, but the extender can be shortened by loosening some screws on it, once its shortened you just have to build shims so it can attach to the utilitrack mount.

Here is a link to a thread on which I posted a few pictures of the solution I came up with. I used the instructions from the Access kit as a guide. I am using it with the Truxedo Lo Pro and it works fine.
