Has anyone replaced their front seats. I don't know but I sat in my friends Sierra the other day and his seats are so much more confortable than mine. Just wondering if you could get them changed.

That was my first thought when I sat in a Titan(and Armada) over a year ago..."ok, cool truck but I have to order some performance seats"...the problem is we're looking at purchasing one with the airbag pkg and side airbags are installed into the seats, which complicates things... I know there was one member out there who was involved in the design of the airbag pkg...soo...what benefits are there in the side airbags being located in the seat...especially when the range that these seats can be move is so small anyway.
Dodge and Ford seats are bad too(mainly too short)...I think Chevy and do I dare say, Honda(ridgeline) seats are so much better. For a market(trucks) that is so focused on "big", "tough", and "durable" it's so dissapointing to see such little attention to seating...especially when a higher majority of these drivers are going to be in the 200+ club. Maybe they should go with the "barcalounger" pkg...probably sell like hotcakes...
That being said, I do think they may have bolstered the sides a bit in the '05s...they seem a bit more supportive around the rib cage. But the foam is still weak and the seat bottom incline barely gets you past level...oh, and the electric seat still moves when you sit on the outside edge.
I'll probably do the PRG level kit to compensate for some of the incline issues.
Even without the side airbag package, the passenger seat weight sensor for the airbag in the dash could be a stumbling block as well.

I know this is kind of off topic, but I really wish I would have gotten the front bench seat instead of the captain's chairs! That extra seat would have come in handy so many times already, and I have only had the Titan since Dec 31st. I wonder if there is any help for this problem?
yeah...one of the main reasons we held off on buying was the fact that a power bench wasn't offered in '04. We're a family of 4 and are looking forward to travelling with 6 when necessary...and I couldnt' really see paying 30K for a rig that didn't have power seats.
I have a Lexus SUV right now and I've really grown to hate those little flip down arm rests as well(on the captains chairs). Those things can restrict blood flow/make your arm go to sleep on long trips.
I think the whole "captains chairs" "center console" thing is a conspiracy by truck companies to save money...
I don't even use the Arm rest any more. First of all it is too high. My seat cushion tilts to the left. I had them change. It got little better but still tilts. I feel like I have to hold myself up when I make a right turn. They have room in the cab to make bigger seats. I dont understand why they wouldn't do that. The Chevy seats are the best. Well if anyone changes there seats let me know. Maybe even extra padding.

I have the bench seat and while I have an extra seat, the driver's seat sucks big time. I added washers/spacers to lift the front to more than 1/2 in and I still keep sliding toward the front when going down hill or braking hard. I think the captain chair with power should help but not sure since the seat is too flat. I am thinking of removing the cover and take out some foam in the center area or even replace the whole seat with after market's.
Has anyone tried lowering the front seat??? I'm 6' 4", and I could benefit from the seat being about an inch or so lower. Looking at the seat frame it doesn't appear that this is possible, but I would be interested in finding out whether someone has tried.

I was looking for this just the other day. Saw some Recaro's that I liked but they were about 3K for the front 2 seats in leather . Coming from a Chevy, I can say that these seats are definatley less than desirable. My mine gripe is that they don't have enough incline - I feel like I'm falling forward out of the seat most of the time. Was thinking about putting some spacers under the front seat bolts, but haven't looked at it yet to see if that would work.
I would like to raise the seats up a little. I have a hard time seeing when I back up. I kind of have to prop myself up with my left leg to see anything. It's a big difference from the small '95 Nissan pickup I had before the "Tank". How much trouble are the seats to raise up?
