I have noticed that with only 7000 miles on my 05 Titan, the rocker panels/flared part of bedside is really getting chipped up. Was wondering what anyone has done to protect this area, other than running boards/steps. I do not have any step bars on my truck, and don't want them either. Was thinking that about 3 layers of vinyl would do the trick. I know a kid that has a sign shop, and could hook me up. Probably even make some sort of design in it. Are there any other suggestions?
A bit on the extreme side but you could Line-x the bottom of your truck. I have seen this done in both black and color match. I think its tough but I probably won't go this route untill the truck is 4-5 years old.
Yeah, i have heard about the 3m stuff, but it's already chipped up, and you would still see the chips if you put the clear over top. That is why i figured the vinyl would be better. My truck is red brawn, don't know what color to go with on the bottom though??

Rhino Spray sounds good to me..........
The black Rhino spray sounds good to me..........I have the same issue.....off-road tires and gravel roads throw the stones and chip the rocker panel paint. I'm going to check on the Black Rhino spray from a shop locally.

i would probably fill the chips with paint as best i could, maybe even sand a little, and then cover over with the clear wrap...a la porsche or g35 coupe or something similar. do duallies have this already? it's easier too than doing the entire truck.

Spray the rocker panels......
Went to a spray liner dealer today ( not Rhino ) they said they could not spray the Titan due to their spray booth size being too small for a full sized truck. Said they need to spray from 6 feet away...I'll check on Rhino next.

There is a '05 Red Alert Titan that I see at a business near my house that has the vinyl running the lower length of the truck, similar to a F-150 Lariat. Theirs is done w/ silver/grey vinyl and it looks really good. This would probably look good on a Red Brawn too.
