Stainless or Black Nerf Bars?

I have an 05' Smoke KC SE and I am trying to decide whether to go with Stainless (Chrome) nerf bars or Black ones. I have searched the photos and haven't found many picks. What to you guys think? If you have a smoke colored truck with either kind please post pics.

If you are going to go with something up front like a grill or brushguard, match that. Othewise, do what you like most.

I would go SS, especially with your paint color. To me the black Titans look better than any other color when you bling them. Also you should get the tailgate chrome bling, it would look awesome on your truck.

I agree with triple about the brush guard. Otherwise go with chome/SS to match the other trim accessories (door handles, mirrors).

You know, I saw a black Titan this morning on the freeway and had that thought about how the tailgate needed the chrome on the black mask...

I have a smoke CC and went with the Chrome...it adds a nice touch to the chrome front and door handles. I will try and take some pics soon. They look real nice!

Go SS black will look like crap in a few years. Every 1 to 2 year old truck I see with black ones are dull and rusty. I also live in the midwest.

Thanks for the replies. I was worried that with the dark grey stock wheels the SS would look out of place on the sides where there isn't much chrome to be seen. (except for the mirrors and door handles). I still think both look really good but I think I'll go with SS because they will hold up better.

Anyone have any experiance with the SS nerf bars from DealsofSteel.com. There only $189 shipped. That almost seems too good to be true.

Bloch, CoachBoone has those bars and seems to be happy with them. He posted pics on here a while back. I'll post the link in a minute if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I don't mean to jack this thread but I've been mulling over the same decision with my Canteen KC. I have a black powdercoat toolbox already but I'm thinking the chrome/stainless nerf bars might look better.

The bull bar is from Westin.
