cabin filter

Local Nissan dealer does not stock the cabin filters for Titan.
Quoted $25.00. Do you get 2 for this price with the oem Nissan filters.
I went to Carquest and purchased the filters and there were 2 in the box
for $24.00. If you have to buy 2 from Nissan each time. The Carquest is a bargain. Carquest # 89854

No one has answered part of the original question yet - but yes - you do get 2 to a box. And I ordered mine from www.nissanpart4u.com as well...

They filter the air that comes into the cabin. They are located behind the glove box. Takes about 5 minutes to change. Instructions come withe the filters. Crew cabs come with the filters installed. King cabs don't come with the filter but you can put them in your self. The manual says that they should be changed once a year, but it depends upon how dusty your driving conditions are. I change mine twice a year. Do a search on cabin filters. Jet Tech has detailed instructions with pictures.

Yes - there are two in a box - my Titan XE did not come with the in cabin filter so I added it - the box comes with two - same for my 2001 Pathfinder - 2 in a box. Install is fairly easy - remove the glove box & get out a utility knife.

Changed mine Saturday. Very dirty, I should have changed them at 10,000 miles. I now have almost 12,000. I have had it for a year. The total time spent was less than 10 min, and that was with rubbing the filters in the old lady's face for a laugh.

I forgot they were in my 2002 Frontier and sold it without changing them at 42000 miles. I would liked to have seen how they looked.

LOL - I finally changed the in-cabin filter in my wifes 2001 Pathfinder last year - about 70,000 miles - it looked like a cat died inside of it.

I heard a real bad thumping sound in my heater first snowy day this winter. This happened a couple of weeks after I installed my cabin filter (xe). I had to turn it off, really needed that defroster! When I got home I opened it up and found a big mouse nest. The mouse must have gotten in when I left the door open while out cutting firewood. It filled most of the heater box with blanket from back of cab. It chewed through the filter from above into squirrel cage. That was the thumping sound I heard. Little bugger didn't survive the spin cycle. Real pain to clean up, not much room to work in there.
